Mr. Stratton is the President and CEO of Primaria Health LLC, a newly formed Management Services Organization providing healthcare management services to medical providers, insurers, self-insured employers, and employer clinics across 38 counties in Central Indiana. Mr. Stratton served as the Executive Director of Accountable Care at Community Health Network prior to accepting his position with Primaria.
Mr. Stratton was the President of Healthcare Management Consulting, and CEO of its parent corporation, Executive Management Consultants Inc. prior to his engagement with Community Health Network. He consults extensively with States, Insurers, Employers and Healthcare Organizations on health issues and programs across the county. He is the past Chairman of Board of the National Association of State Comprehensive Health Insurance Plans, and served as the Consulting Director for 4 Indiana State sponsored healthcare programs. These include the Indiana high risk pool, and the management of the complex, chronic, and complicated patients in the Healthy Indiana Program.
Mr. Stratton is also the President of the Foundation for Complex Healthcare Solutions, Inc, a 501 C 3 not for profit organization. The Foundation (www.foundation-chs.org) has as its mission to research and implement better healthcare solutions for patients with catastrophic, chronic, and complex conditions that have such a profound impact on the overall cost of medical care in the United States.
Prior to serving in these positions, he was the CEO of Principal Health Care of Indiana, CEO of CIGNA Healthcare of Kansas and Missouri, and CEO of EQUICOR Healthcare in eight Midwest states. He previously served as Corporate Counsel for 3 national health carriers.
He has served on 14 Boards of Directors of health and medical organizations, and served as a consultant to medical and insurance Fortune 500 organizations.
His engagements include being an Adjunct Professor and guest lecturer at Butler University’s College of Business Administration, where he taught courses in Business Law, and Business Problem Solving.
He is a licensed Attorney having represented health and medical industry clients over the last 35 years in 10 States. He has advised the Department of Justice in health industry mergers, and frequently speaks on health care and related issues.
He is married to Rebecca, and between them they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
